Welcome!

For the Buddhist Bodies Collective, ‘body’ is a multivalent concept that supports the impactful teaching of Buddhism.

What would happen if Buddhism was approached from the spleen and the heart and the womb? From the experiences of marginalized groups? From gesture and affect in addition to thought? In ways that center animals, trees, and mountains? From engagement with material objects in addition to doctrines? And with attention to the five senses alongside the mind?

Look and see! On this website you will find learning modules curated by teachers and researchers in Buddhist Studies. They are organized into five different categories of “body.”
